Art Exhibition "WOOSAAH!!!" 01-17 June 2012

WOOSAAH is..

Defined as the pronunciation of mediative breaths expelled in order to reduce anxiety with intention of eliminating anger or frustation produced by life an urban context.

Bringing the works of seven of these artists together in one space at the ber.seni art project, we have the chance to take a closer look at who these individuals are and the groups they are a part of in this nation’s capital. We learn that along with creating unique, eye-catching, and often sarcastic visual imagery, these individuals are involved in a number of creative communities that have become important centers for discourse and creative expression amongst Jakarta’s younger generation of artists, students, and socially-minded citizens.
